Who is Stephanie Winters?

Stephanie Winters created Listen Differently,  a theory and practice that enhances leadership by elevating communication and presence.

As one of today’s elite cellists, her career in music informs her listening skills and inspires her mission to help others experience the spirit of servant-leadership. After more than two decades of touring and performing for thousands across the globe, Stephanie found that listening like a musician provides a unique perspective that can be used for positive change.

Stephanie's original take on listening was featured at both the American and British conferences on servant-leadership. Numerous clients worldwide have benefited from Stephanie’s message, among them are Commonwealth Bank of Australia, World Bank, and the United Nations. Her presentations are also enjoyed in the academic world, with audiences at Harvard University and institutions throughout the U.S., Europe, and Asia.

Stephanie has performed 3,000 concerts in North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia, and has toured and performed with varied artists including Richie Havens, Ellie Goulding and Enya. Her appearances and specially commissioned performances include Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Carnegie Hall, and New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.  Her solo recording, Through the Storm (reissued 2009) garnered much praise and her TV credits range from Oprah Winfrey Network and Saturday Night Live, to the 2008 Cannes Film Festival which was broadcast worldwide to millions.

Stephanie began her cello studies in the Levittown, NY public school system and went on to graduate from the Juilliard School Pre-college Division. She holds a BFA in classical cello performance from Purchase College and a MA in music education from Columbia University.

Stephanie and her husband divide their time between the United States and England.
